They provide eggs and bacon, that is brilliant! . the rooms are convenient and outstanding with water flowing and good beds. the venue has a perfect location right next to the river. Thanks very much for a very pleasant stay - would definitely book here again.

Recently renovated and modern place for one night, I can recommend. Fairly clean hotel, incredibly nice breakfast, the location is excellent near to the restaurant next door and bus stops, restaurants and the centre of the exquisite village and Balsthal. The venue offers good choice of food that was outstanding! Modern rooms complete with good beds as well as water flowing, friendly professional staff. The service is excellent, includes easy parking.

we had a particularly nice breakfast with more warm meal, could find something for everyone. the location was magnificent, very close to the restaurant and the street as well as the center of a lovely town.

The standard double room has a modern design and a nice view of a flowing water feature. Great location, very convenient to reach the restaurant and the main street 🌟.

Perfect, excellent location in Balsthal, close to the restaurant next door and Switzerland.

The hotel is effectively 3 buildings, the Kreuz, Rossli, and the Kornhaus,which are situated around a very attractive open space with a fountain and plants, chairs and tables. The village itself is very quiet, and is conveniently situated within 5 minutes walk to the railway station and is well served by the post-bus.There is an Irish bar just 100 metres away.The Kornhaus is as it suggests, a converted building, and has a character of its own.The village itself is pleasant with a lot of good architecture, and me and my 2 friends enjoyed the stay there and would definitely return.

As well as the 3 main buildings, there is an annex off the car park. The room in this annex, although modern, was small and rather dingy, and had suffered from a flood at some stage as part of the carpet was still damp.However an exchange into the Kornhaus was readily granted.When arriving, do not look out for hotel "Balstahl'' as it is not externally signed under this name (very confusing on first arrival).

The breakfast options were good, with eggs and bacon available. the family room had a comfy bed, air conditioning, work desk, and a flat-screen TV. the hotel is conveniently located close to the town center. There are plenty of food choices within walking distance of the hotel.

The location was excellent and fantastic, just next door to both restaurants, the town center and bus stops, restaurants and the centre of the exquisite village. It also was right next to the river.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Town was quaint and food was good although a bit expensive.

Expensive for the size of the room. Unique shower.

The service is outstanding and the location by the river is unbeatable, close to the town center, restaurant, and Interlaken.

an English translation of the menu would have encouraged us to eat in the hotel. Instead we just played safe with a Pizza as we couldn't understand the dishes

The location here is excellent, just a short distance from the motorway, the rooms are modern and well-equipped with amenities like water flow and comfortable beds, and there is a fantastic variety of delicious meal choices.

It was too expencive. For the same services-facilities-location we should pay 40 percent less.
